5/13/09 - Peace A Pizza Leaves Its Mark With Employees - Local Manager Shows His Loyalty with a Logo Tattoo

In a job market full of layoffs, high employee turnover and an overwhelming lack of job satisfaction across the board, one company is clearly ruining the curve.

On Saturday, March 14, Peace A Pizza, Springfield’s manager, Seth Milman, made a permanent gesture of his love for his job. The PAP manager of 5 years tattooed a 6” diameter Peace A Pizza logo on his right shoulder blade. Tattoo artist Sue Kidder, of Baker Street Tattoo in Media, did the honors. The sitting lasted 5 hours and was “definitely my most painful tattoo,” says Seth. “But, I love it! It is so bright and detailed and looks exactly like the PAP logo. It was well worth it.”

Seth cited PAP’s positive impact on his life as main reason he decided on the distinctive tattoo. "Peace A Pizza has been a huge influence on my life in the last five years. It will leave a permanent mark on my personal growth as both a manager in the food industry and as a human being.” Plus, he added, “I could not resist getting such a cool tattoo and not having to pay for it myself!!” That’s right. Peace A Pizza’s corporate office cut the check to pay for Seth’s new ink. Milman had approached company owners about his intentions and they jumped onboard. “We thought it was a great example of our unique marketing and also an unsolicited, genuine testament to how valued our employees are made to feel. That one of our team members would have such company loyalty…well, that’s just phenomenal.”

Unfortunately, Health Code regulations prohibit Seth from flaunting his tat in-store. But, you’ll be able to tell how much he loves what he does by the way he serves up your next slice with a smile.
